Gates in the Trees by Shawna X

Photo: Prospect Park Alliance

Join Prospect Park Alliance and Field Meridians, a Brooklyn-based artist collective connecting art, ecology and community, for Gates in the Trees, an immersive art installation by multidisciplinary artist Shawna X. Experience the park after dark as animated light projections transform the water and surrounding forest into a dreamlike landscape. Inspired by the connections between the human body and the natural world, shimmering forms move across the water and into the tree canopy, inviting visitors to experience Brooklyn’s Backyard in a new light. The evening will feature an atmospheric musical experience by Kat Offline. RSVP
