The Park Sloper
Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026
The short version: if you subscribe, we keep your email so we can send you the newsletter. If you send us a question, we keep it so we can answer it. We don't sell your data, and we don't run advertising trackers. That's the whole deal.
What we collect
- Your email: when you subscribe to the newsletter. We store it with Beehiiv, our email provider.
- Questions you send: when you use the “ask” box, we store your question, plus a first name and neighborhood only if you choose to add them.
- Basic server logs: standard request data (like IP and browser) our host keeps for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To send you the weekly newsletter, only if you subscribed.
- To answer your questions, and sometimes feature one in the newsletter's You asked section, shown with only the first name and neighborhood you optionally provided, never your email.
- To decide which guides to research and write next.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your data. We use a few trusted services to run the site, each only processing what it needs to:
- Beehiiv: sends the newsletter and stores subscriber emails.
- Supabase: our database (your questions, site data).
- Vercel: hosts the website.
Cookies & tracking
The site uses only what it needs to function. We don't run advertising trackers or sell data to ad networks. If we ever add analytics, we'll say so here.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe anytime: every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Ask us to delete your data: email hello@parksloper.com and we'll remove it.

This is our policy in plain English. It isn't legal advice, and we'll refine it as the site grows. If it changes, we'll update the date above.
